CIEF 2006 Call For Paper

Special Session on Econophysics
The 5th International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Economics and Finance

October 8-11, 2006    Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, ROC
http://www.jcis.org or http://www.aiecon.org

Organizers:

Econophysics combines economics and physics research to develop and apply the advanced tools and approaches that are essential for major advances in understanding the structure and function of the economic society. Econophysics has become increasingly important in social sciences, providing an ideal opportunity to build stronger links between economists and physicists, computer scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. The 5th International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Economics and Finance (CIEF 2006), we intend to bring together leading researchers in the area of econophysics to share their views and experiences.

The special session will focus on topics covered by the field of Econophysics which applies methods from statistical physics and non-linear dynamics to macro/micro-economic modeling, financial market analysis and social problems. We invite and welcome high quality contributions on a wide variety of topics relevant to econophysics. The following topics are included:

Interacting-Agent models: Theory and Simulations
Econophysics
Information, Bounded Rationality and Learning in Economics
Markets as Complex Adaptive Systems - Evolutionary Economics
Multiscale analysis and modelling
Non-linear Dynamics and Econometrics
Physics of Risk
Science of complex networks
Statistical and probabilistic methods in Economics and Finance
Socio-physics
Opinion formation
Artificial Stock Markets
Financial Engineering and Financial Data Mining
Financial Time Series Forecasting and Analysis
