Economic systems as complex as stock markets are considered intractable because in part of the large number of internal and external variables that they depend on. One of the better ways to study economics is undoubtedly by laboratory experiments where changes in system behaviors are observed in response to changes in one or few selected variables. Activities of the adapting players can also be closely monitored along the experiment course, which is often impractical or even infeasible in the real world. Advances in information technology have made powerful computing and wideband networking accessible to everyone almost everywhere. Experimental economists see great opportunities and challenges in the information era as economic systems feed on information which in turn drives economics. This special session is dedicated to the study of economics by experiments and related issues. Submissions that involve experiments in any form such as games, tournaments and other quantitative methods are all welcome. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to the following:

All papers must be in Word or PDF format, written in English, and limited to 4 pages. Any paper exceeding 4 pages will be charged a $50 fee per additional page.
