The Workshop on Information and Network Security (INS) provides an international forum for exchanging original research results and practical development experiences about the adoption of information and communication security technologies. INS would like to invite academicians, researchers, graduate students, and practitioners to participate in the conference and welcomes papers that focus on all aspects (technical, theoretical, practical, managerial, and analytical) of security pertaining to computers, information systems, and networks. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the 9th Joint Conference on Computer Science and Informatics ( www.jcis.org). We invite paper submissions that include but are not limited to the following topics:

Intrusion detection and tolerance
Secure location services
Privacy and anonymity
Secure routing
Secure roaming across administrative domains
Multimedia security

Authors are invited to submit the extended abstract, limit to 4 pages. Please send the electronic version of your paper
to Dr. Min-Shiang Hwang (mshwang@isrc.nchu.edu.tw) by April 15, 2006. Papers should be formatted with double columns and should be single-spaced in a 10 point font such as Times Roman. All submissions will be reviewed by the program committee, and the authors will be informed of the acceptance decision by June 10 , 2006. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, ISIP cited. A selected number of accepted papers will be expanded and revised for possible inclusion in Journal of Information Sciences, New Mathematics and Natural Computation, and International Journal of Network Security. Some of these selected papers will also be considered to be included in a book volume published by an internationally renowned publisher. JCIS has ISIP citation for many years. Elsevier has just informed us that our application for EI indexing has been accepted. We are currently in the process of applying SCI or SCI Expanded.
