With the rapid development and deployment of broadband wireless networks around the world, numerous interesting and innovative multimedia applications are being created over the mobile Internet. However, the development of multimedia over mobile Internet is still in its infancy. In view of this, the CSI 2006 creates this special session to cover different aspects of multimedia over mobile Internet. This special session provides an international technical forum which brings researchers, scientists, and engineers together to exchange their ideas and new research findings. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Please send the electronic version of your paper
to Dr. Geng-Sheng (G.S.) Kuo (gskuo@ieee.nccu.edu.tw) by April 15, 2006 in Word or PDF format, written in English, and limited to 4 pages. Any papers exceeding 4 pages will be charged a $50 fee per additional page. Papers should be formatted with double columns and should be single-spaced in a 10 point font such as Times Roman. All submissions will be reviewed by the program committee and the authors will be informed of the result of the review by the June 10 , 2006. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (ISIP and EI cited). A selected number of accepted papers will be expanded and revised for possible inclusion in Journal of Information Sciences (SCI cited) and other international journals such as New Mathematics and Natural Computation. Some of these selected papers will also be considered to be included in a book volume published by an internationally renowned publisher. We are currently in the process of applying SCI or SCI Expanded.
