  Following the tradition of the Joint Conference on Information Sciences, JCIS 2005 will continue to attract leading researchers and scientists from around the world to help stimulate, exchange, and discuss new ideas, new inventions, and new developments in their respective areas.

  JCIS 2005 will be held at the Salt Lake City Marriott City Center located in the spectacular and scenic Salt Lake City, Utah, host of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The city continues to attract tourists from around the world. Salt Lake is also headquarters to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and features numerous attractions focused on LDS history. Fifteen national parks and monuments are within a one-day drive of Salt Lake; twelve are located within Utah’s borders. These include Zion National Park and Arches National Park south of the city and the famous Yellowstone National Park to the northeast. A 30-minute drive north of the city will bring you to Antelope Island, the largest island in the Great Salt Lake, and home to a unique variety of wildlife. Park City, a charming artist community featuring numerous museums and arts shops and host to many Olympic events, is only 20 minutes away.
